You are correct; Yes, we are a group of college kids trying to write a paper regarding the subject. However, using google forms is an easy way to convert it into a spreadsheet, which we can then analyze and review, we are sorry if you find our way of data collection "Shady". -Cole.

I suppose if you want honest responses from people, you should be more open about who you are and why you’re doing this. Are you college kids trying to write a paper? Do you represent some group? Are you really just a few friends? Referring to your friends as colleagues and a brief Google form as a study feels shady AF. So that’s one Newark resident’s opinion for you.

Chelsea, thank you for the concern. However as a group, we don't intend to antognize Midnight, as previously said in this thread to Robert Treat, we soley intend to ask and garner responses on what Residents think of him.

Furthermore, regarding his methods of doing good, we share no animosity towards said methods, and however he decides to carry himself, is for him only to decide.

But considering aggressors or Instigators may see this as an opportunity to make a name for themselves, who's to say people cant get caught in that crossfire?

We come from an angle of curiosity and concern, not resentment and mockery.

Who are you to question? What are you doing in the community to make a difference?

Public safety issue my ass. If you gave a shit about public safety, there are hundreds of other issues in the city you could've chosen to focus on.The only person "at risk" as a result of his actions (patrolling a specific section of NWK & giving out hand warmers to those less fortunate), is him, which should be described as bravery, or maybe stupidity, but certainly not a public safety issue.

Hero, or Public Saftey Issue?

In light of recent sightings and postings from the masked Vigilante known as Midnight, or-self proclaimed "Newark Knight", I and a few colleagues were interested to see Newark and Essex County Residents' opinions on the Vigilante, and have decided to do a study on said opinions from residents.

AC isn't just about temperatures, its also about clean air. The better the air circulates the lower the chance of airborne disease. I also have a feeling when they have all these plans they don't just do them one at a time. The AC people aren't going to be the same guys who fix doors.

I mean so far since I'm here everyday I've seen them power wash the front building and clean tiles and they're real hell bent on these benches to the point of obsession. You have peeling paint once you get up on the platform you have giant cracks and raised areas on them. As far as the air conditioning goes the only benefit to me is you wont have a smelly homeless person standing in front of the mobile air conditioners that is horrific

Enjoyable? It just has to be survivable til the train comes and work is over for the people Slaving away inside

The Long term goal is to restore the southern portion of the station, which would allow for 2 full length trains to occupy each track. Only track 5 can fully handle that at the moment. The Southern portion will also be connected to Prudential via a New Bridge and Station head house.

I notice how long the platforms are I might be wrong but tracks 2 and 5 seem to be longer than the middle 3 and 4. More entrances and waiting areas that are properly ventilated along those might work. But let’s face it we got them new silver doors lol that’s their improvement

We are surrounded by water and swamp no amount of AC is going to make it enjoyable. Just take a walk on market street in the summer it’s like satans armpits. Close the 711 and give us safe passage ways.

I saw that, they are putting all of us in danger. The station needs remodeling.

It doesn’t smell in the big waitiing room or the platforms, whats there to enjoy at penn? The air? Are you kidding me, this is sadly the kind of place where you go and get out asap, it’s over crowded as hell. It stinks around the bathroom and the McDonald’s. Sometimes it does stink but it’s because we are so close to the water, a lot of it it’s swamp water. No amount of AC is going to help that. The air issue is so trivial. The day the place needs to get evacuated in case of a serious event there will sadly be deaths due to the outdated exits and entrances. If you go to Penn please plan so you are there as little as possible it’s not safe. Also fuck those metrocrd machines for the path lol hop that shit whenever you can.
