I'd have to say Guns and Roses. While Use Your Illusions 1 and 2 were pretty good, the didn't come close to matching the the raw energy of Appetite For Destruction.

I'd say Antics is 99% as good as the debut. It all went down hill from there.

This is my answer too! That first album was just lightning in a bottle. They never recaptured it.
