“Step down. Step down. Step down. Step down.” ad nauseam and “Why don’t presidents fight the war? Why do they always send the poor?” spring to mind as maximally cringe inducing examples.

If you have Spotify you should make a playlist with your favorite songs. I’m going to do that too but I have a busy day. I will also report back this weekend

50 years ago if one’s sensibilities were that delicate to be offensive easily they would be considered mentally Ill or at least emotionally unstable. Just saying…

I was lucky to see them probably back in 06. As a drummer, my mind was blown the first time I heard them. I believe this was the first track I heard. It amazes me that their drummer Zach went from this to Death Grips. Not a bad thing, just another mind blower…

im all about music and like you lyrics dont always paint a picture to me they are often just words. words that i often mishear anyway. often the music potrays a totally different feeling to the lyrics.

A couple of the songs on "The Revolution Starts Now" haven't held up over the years, but most are still amazing. "The Seeker" is eternal.

there's plenty of protest music if you simply broaden the genres you're looking in. rap has a ton of protest songs.

I’m bad with lyrics the music is my focus as I produce music I tend to be keen to see transitions and learn.
It took me years to realise and it was actually my ex who told me pumped up kicks was about a school shooter/shooting.
I legit never focused enough to pay attention to what was said I thought based on the title it was someone with Nike air pumps like a throw back to a cool shoe in the 90s.
