I have a Keychron Q2 and the gaskets they use are pretty cushy. I think it is pretty nice feel. My Sonnet with iso top mount is certainly stiffer.

To be fair i was too lazy to open the keyboard.
Here is the output for lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 1a86:7523 QinHeng Electronics CH340 serial converter
Bus 001 Device 007: ID 05ac:024f Apple, Inc. Aluminium Keyboard (ANSI)
05ac:024f Is the chip i'm talking to send RGB data
My only knowledge with keyboard chips is with Sonix ones. This one is definitly not, so no SonixQMK for this board
Hope it can help you

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually did a bit of googling on this. Turns out there isn't many near me (Surrey, UK). There was one last September in London, but doesn't seem to have announced another one for this year.
Will definitely search a bit more on this. Would love to go to a meet up!

Wow this is amazing but might be a little bit difficult for me. Iβll try it once I get more comfortable with my board. Thanks a lot

It's from Fantech. Maxfit 81 Frost. A budget board but has all the bells and whistles (fr4 plate, foam, etc.) and sounds okay out of the box.

I suspect people who want a bouncy feel would be better served by spring-mount, but they're rarer at the moment... or by plateless, which are even rarer. The trouble is that gasket mount can supply a measure of spring and is easier to design than spring-mount or plateless, so manufacturers tend to use that and people start expecting gasket-mounts to be bouncy.
So what are you to do? Cater both for people who want bounce and for people who want sound insulation without bounce. Maybe that's a spring-mount board for the bounce fans, maybe that's several specifications of gasket if you don't want to go spring-mount. After all, you (probably) offer several different choices of switch to suit people's differing tastes - why wouldn't you offer different gaskets to suit the differing tastes in the market?

Thanks for this. Do you have any more information regarding flashing this chip/keyboard? I'm currently waiting for mine and I'd like to add some more functionality but I can't find too much information. Do you have any idea what chips are being used, if there are any programming pins exposed?

I highly recommend keyboard meetups, if you can find one near you.
That's saved me a ton on money, by allowing me to test all kinds of stuff (different cases, layouts, switches, keycaps, etc...), all at someone else's expense.

The PE mod is placing a layer of PE foam between your plate and PCB. Itβll give you a more marbly/poppy sound that some people like. This video shows how to PE foam and tape mod your keyboard. I like the sound of PE foam on my keyboard.

Yes, I think they are R3. Seems like they messed those up, at least the 1.2mm ones. I am glad this wasnβt a solder build, so changing the stabs was no big deal.
