Put her ring in a bottle of Fireball, tie it around your adventure buddy’s neck, lay her down on the mountain of crusty snow at the Auburn Walmart, and let your adventure buddy “rescue” her like he’s Barry der Menschenretter. It’s romantic, exciting, and Maine as fuck. She’ll definitely say yes.

The others literally survived because they swam to shore. I’m certainly not saying the other man died because he couldn’t swim, maybe he could, because as you say cold water kills. But the ability to swim is still prettt important for working on the water.

You’re in a great spot now. There’s the big rock at popham, the fort down the road and Reed state park is across the water.

Go do a helicopter tour with pine tree helicopter. Fly up and down the coast.

First off - congrats!!!
There are so many amazing places and I’d recommend doing some serious scoping out ahead of time (google street view is fantastic lol) but the first place that came to mind was the Morse Mtn / Sewall Beach hike. There are so many pretty places on that walk and the cliff overlooking the beach would be super cute for a sunrise (or sunset?) proposal. I haven’t been there in a few years so I don’t have the most up to date info but it’s definitely got a good combo of woodsy/oceany vibes and is close by to where you’ll be.
Hope all goes well with you both!!

I agree. The sticky isn’t overly helpful since it’s just a never ending list of questions and answers. Enjoy your visit.

I get that, but sometimes an individual has a great tip that isn't on a list. It doesn't hurt to ask, er, wait, I guess it hurts some people, oops, sorry .

I’ve had their 50/50 since last Fall, and it’s been great for me. I don’t do too much in the way of downloads and uploads, that I don’t mind waiting for. Honestly, I’d waste that $15 more a month on something more fun 😂

I agree with you, 71 percent of the earth is covered in water your bound to run across it at some point.

People get touchy because there’s a sticky about visiting Maine.
Spend a day in Boothbay, be sure to include the Botanical Gardens. Bonus points if you stop in Rockland and make the trip out to the Breakwater Lighthouse which is almost a mile out in the ocean.

But what about the capital gains? That part always gets me when people ‘inherit’ a fortune just when they need it.

They need help with community organizing, fundraising, and physical labor tasks, so you may find quite a bit there mutually beneficial, according to your other comment.

Food AND Medicine / Solidarity Center
A ton of different initiatives and community support, and they’re well-connected to many other service organizations.

The ability to swim doesn't mean much in 35-40 degree water. You are likely to die even with a life jacket if they don't pull you out in a few minutes.

Unity makes me sad. It used to be such a great unique little college. Almost everyone who is everyone in conservation law enforcement, outdoor recreation and trail building nationwide came through Unity. Then the management fucked it all up. Don’t go.
