I will definitely take both of your sets of advice and get in contact with the local council/government. I see myself doing community organization and fundraising in the sort term because I'm pretty good at talking to people. Long term I might see more physical labor and equipment operation for local parks, forests, etc once i have all my heavy equipment purchased. Does that nail it down a little more?

So many inaccuracies here it is hard to know where to start.

I have spent much time on these threads trying to spread the FACT that CMP has zero control over electricity supply prices. This has been the case since the State of Maine passed a law to restructure the industry in 2000.

The state seizing $13 billion in power grid assets from CMP and Versant (and passing those costs, plus interest, along to customers) will do NOTHING to change supply costs. Absolutely NOTHING. The suppliers will continue to gouge customers because the state utility still will not own any supply.

CMP is by no means perfect, but forcing customers to pay $13 BILLION plus legal costs for assets that are not for sale will not improve the situation. At. All.

Please educate yourself on the actual facts.

I would go in and talk to the people who do car registrations. If the town has a rec department they for sure need help.

Baseball/softball is always looking for help and it's not just to coach, it's getting fields ready etc.

Go to the local food bank when it's open not to get food, but to check about volunteering.

I was totally burnt out when I left the health industry last year. I took my previous customer service manager experience amd went to a small locally owned market. So much better for the mental health. I was lucky to find the job when it popped up.

Im 38 and know sadly too little about computers. Would love to learn coding but seems soo advanced at this point and have a hard time just checking emails and shit. I missed computers for everyone in school by a few years. We still had computer labs to play Oregon trail
