They may as well just pass it, half the cars I see don’t display the front plate. Which is a giant pet peeve of mine, because I had a front plate stolen off my car while in NY and got pulled over there because of it. I also got pulled over for it in CT and MA on the way home on the same day. Only to come home and see every scofflaw in the state not displaying the proper plate on the FRON OF TJEIR VEHICLE AND IT MAKES ME SOOOOOOO ANGRY okay mildly infuriating but okay i feel better now thanks.

I am fairly certain what she is referring to is a proposal in the legislature to make this(DIY family cremation) legal and they fortunately did not. There is a reason that crematoria use costly, specialized equipment. I am not aware of any that offer other options than that, and cremating without their help is not currently legal. A wood fuel pyre is going to take tens of hours to dontge job and i speculate will cause considerable distress and disgust to many family members. A society with as many people living in it as we have needs to have a good plan for dealing with remains. Happy that we did not permit a free for all to the states arm chair morticians

I grew up in York (the actual town) and YWK has always been sad, it’s a tourist trap, nothing more.

I’ve always referred to it as a “amusing” park, only thing marginally entertaining were the go-karts.

It’s advice on being a healthy human. It’s not religious or new age, or weird. It’s basic steps toward being healthy. Breathe. Feel your feelings. Everyone will benefit if more people function better.

Yes, our heat is on a whole new level down here 🥵 anything under 85 is very pleasant to me now, lol. Im not worried about the heat, more so the ease of finding accommodation and not dealing with crazy traffic everywhere. I know the infrastructure in Maine hasn’t advanced fast enough for the influx of tourism and people moving there in recent years. Im thinking end of august it is!

This is a really interesting subject. OP, I hope your mom recovers and has many years to plan ahead. My mom wants to be put on an ice burg, as the Inuits do when their elders are ready. The cold makes a person go to sleep and never awaken. I am not sure how to pull this off without being charged with murder. I hopefully have time.
