How is that relevant, though?

We're discussing the warranty in this thread. You keep bringing up that Big Lots isn't a place you expect to find quality products. I don't think that matters. Legally, Maine requires that the products sold to its citizens meet certain minimum standards for durability and longevity. If Big Lots sells crap, this is a way to hold them accountable for that.

It's except new or used vehicles! "Maine has a four-year implied warranty law on all products, except cars, new or used, that are sold in the state of Maine."

Again, even if so, it was past the 4 years even back in November! It's a crappy situation but I really don't think there's much you can do!

I'd suggest finding a hobby that gets you out of the house and mingling with people. The below dance classes are pay-what-you-can in Scarborough. Board games, DnD, sports ball, SCA? You need to have something in common with people and then the rest comes naturally.

I drove for more than a decade with a front wheel drive car and snow tires, living in central and norther Maine. I did not "fishtail like a bitch" unless I was explicitly trying to do so.

If you have never driven in snow with snow tires, you cannot possibly comprehend how much more grip they have compared to all-seasons. My current car is AWD, and the only thing it offers over FWD is more grip from a stop, and the ability to get more sideways. The tires are the difference maker.
