Fairly affluent area. Lots of out of state money. Lean mostly blue, some rich old red.
Lots of lake based activities as well as hiking.

I read an interview with one of the filmmakers once wherein he said the movie grew out of the question: "what if a gun knew it was a gun, and didn't want to be?"

Yeah, those panels are pretty large. I have 16 on my roof and can only fit 4 more.

Tone is not easily distinguished from text. That is part of the reason why the tone indicator you just used is a thing.

As a female Mainer, I’d watch a show with women chopping firewood. The art of stacking wood (wood art) show. That’s what would make me finally get a Netflix subscription.

I’ve spent some time there , you definitely see a difference between there and the next few towns inland.

Yes, ground mounted. I'm sure there are houses out there with room for 58 QCells on the roof, but I suspect they're pretty rare in Maine 😁
I imagine there's an impact due to demand caused by the very significant increases in energy costs, along with the inflation we've seen over the last 18 months. Still seems like there's room for improvement on the price, though.

Also, in TV and movies, the filming location is always in Nova Scotia, since Maine doesn't look "Maine" enough, so they go for Maine on steroids, i.e, Nova Scotia. Also the tax breaks help.

Reply to comment by MikoTheMighty in Do you think Maine should mandate later start times for high schools? by benpinette
>A lot of research has already shown that grown adults at 8-5 jobs experience a drop-off in ability to focus after several straight hours. I don't think it's realistic to expect better outcomes for kids being taught for 8 hours every day.
Maybe it's because they weren't trained from a young age to adapt to those kinds of routines.
And not just straight classroom hours, but also socializing time, club time, sports time, lunch time, quiet time.
Most high-achieving high schoolers already do what is essentially 8-5, if not more. Mandating it for everyone will bridge the gap in achievement and alleviate social inequality in the long run.

The attitude that Massachusetts is this far-off hellscape full of roaming bands of speeders and people who change your state is really regressive. It's just a state. Calm down.
If a show takes place in like Chicago and characters have to go to Maine.... that's far.
Settle down. We don't live in some sacred place that's only for us and only real maine folk would understand. It's just another state with its good and its bad. It's baffling why you'd argue to not want to hear the name of a place on a movie or show.

Ah, so this is a ground and not a roof mount? In that case, yes, there are extra costs to build the structure and do the trenching. We were quoted about a 25% premium for a ground mounted option so that would put you closer to $90k. I'd be very surprised if prices have increased 20% from a year ago.

I think it’s to be expected. Let’s list our Favorite Maine cameos. I’ll go first: Have to start with the sopranos guy who goes to Maine for witness protection and Tony finds him while taking meadow to visit bowdoin 2: bojack horseman- it’s the place he romanticized escaping to to change his life and leave show business. 3. Steven king… That’s all I can think of

The $2.50/watt is inclusive of trenching (250'), inverters, installation, etc.?
The solar portion alone is $107K in the proposal.

Can you separate the solar from the heat pumps? For a solar system that massive, you should be around $2.50/watt (~$70,000) or better before any incentives.
