Yeah, kinda odd that they would show a modern interpretation of a spartan soldier and not an Athenaian philosopher

When I think "beauty and strength of which his body is capable" a spartan definitely fits the bill. I'm not thinking of an old guy in a toga, even if artistic depictions do portray him as something of a beast.

It's classy when you do it like a pro.

It can be numerous other things that cause a person to kinda get stuck which can be seen as laziness etc, which is a shame because theres plenty of other perfectly valid reasons to not be being your best self.
If that makes any sense and was also what you were getting at.
However i do feel like theres nearly always very small steps you can undertake to get past that blockage. Even if it just means asking for help, and mental illness sometimes just will be there to fuck you over and often there really is nothing you can do about it.

This is how the next Finnish government will be chosen according to the voting.

It’s a whole other discussion, but it often bleeds into this one.
Because people have a view of what mental health is, everything that doesn’t fit in that box is therefore laziness or lack of drive.

That was very heartwarming to read. Shows how little compliments can totally make someone's day.

Related story on how little things can make you feel like Superman:
I have an anxiety disorder and got panic attacks. I had a VERY bad one at work one day and had to leave early. I was walking home, shaking, trying to convince myself that I wasn't about to die, when an older man approached me. I assumed he was homeless, because big city and his appearance, so I reached in my pocket to give him some money.
Instead he stopped me and said, "Ey man. Anyone ever tell ya you look like Clark Kent?"
I had been told this before (my MIL is obsessed with Christopher Reeve and that was one of the first comments she'd made to me), but anxiety had kicked my ass and all I managed was, "... What?"
"Clark Kent? Superman, y'know; man of steel? Take off them glasses and lemme see that Superman, man!"
So I took off my glasses and the man's face just split into the most genuine, joyful smile I'd seen in a while. He clapped me on the shoulder, walked past, and bellowed, "Oh Lord, looks just like him!!!" while laughing to himself.
My panic attacks started after my dad, my hero, developed frontotemporal dementia and (among other things) forgot who I was. I will be forever grateful to that man for making me feel like Superman on a day I felt like I was made of glass.

I remember when I was five or six years old, and would go to my neighbor friend's house wearing my Superman costume... with white kiddie briefs in place of the red outerwear he has on. The adults hanging around the street found it hilarious, and it made me feel proud!

Do yourself a favor and go to the gym. You’ve got nothing else to lose right. Might as well try it. It seriously changed my life both mentally and physically.

It's a daily choice to make something new in your life important. Perfection is the enemy of good enough. Don't wait to start on your plan if it isn't perfect yet, just start where you are and you will learn as you go.

When I was 5-6. I had batman pajamas that had a removable cape. You best believe I thought I was the fastest person in the world with that on.

An idiot is someone that is born into wealth and spends their entire like making more and hoarding every penny. He drives the same car he had in 1955, eats McDonald’s 3x a week because they give it to him free and drinks Diet Coke because he owns the stock. He makes 700 mil per quarter on dividends doesn’t spend any of it. Some might say an idiot is someone that doesn’t know how to live.
