Not just the operator manual, there is typically also a service manual hidden on the appliance which is far more useful.

Not a bad idea if I even up the edging, I'll have a look if available here. Thanks

If new weatherstripping isn’t helping, your panel is bowed. Time for a new door in that case. You probably don’t have a 6’ level laying around, but that would be the easiest way to see.
I’m not saying you need a pricey door with a 3 point lock, but those types of doors prevent this from ever happening.

I'm living in a relatively small country and the quality of finishing is quite terrible - but the soil pipe runs out the back at 90° at least. Theres a lot of uneven finishes, sadly its more work and hassle to get them back than to get them fixed.

There are inline remote control units you can attach to the fixtures.

That's a large gap. As others have said replace the weatherstripping, but if the other side of the door is much tighter, you can add shims behind the hinges to push the door closer to the other side.

Oh yes good point. I’m in a subtropical sub-humid climate with hot summers and arid winters.

Check the manual to see if the 14 flashes are an error signal. If it is, then there will be more information available about what is wrong and how to fix it.
ApparentlyABear t1_jea02j1 wrote
Start with replacing the weather stripping - there are multiple sizes and they are cheap so buy a couple and figure out what size fills that gap without affecting the function of the door.
If problems still persist, the other thing you can do is get an HVAC contractor to come out and check the air balance in your house. If you have negative pressure in your house, you’ll be constantly drawing air from the outside into your home.

smart bulbs wouldn't fix this entirely, since they would power on and off with the fan switch
the fan and or switch are definitely wired incorrectly

Buy a fan that is remote controlled and only needs one power source.

Measure the gap width first to know what size to get. But yeah. You'll be saving more in heating/AC costs than the cost of the weatherstripping so jump ahead to doing and don't sweat it.

Get a post hole digger and dig a few feet down. Put the post in and pour the cement in around it. This is the only way to do it without a sloped deck in a year. I did a deck on a house I flipped without using posts and it was terrible looking after the first year.

Install a second switch but make sure your ceiling fan actually supports that. Usually a ceiling fan that has lights on it will have two hot wires that can go to separate controls. When you pull out the existing switch you should be able to quickly determine whether you are or are not set up for that.

Most of them are probably wired for regular light fixtures and have a fan put in afterwards.

You can also buy remote controllers where you wire in a receiver at the base of the fan and use a remote to control the fan and lights independently. This way you can also control the fan speed in addition if it's a 3 speed fan.

Replace the ancient weatherstrip. If it still isn't making good contact they make extended reach weatherstrip.

I have these kind of cracks in my sink too. I used bleach soaked cotton balls, covered the cracks with them, and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. It doesn’t fix the cracks, but whitens them so they’re not as noticeable.

I with this dude. Beside the lead, the time it would take to strip them is probably about the same to rip them off and replace. Also, you'll end up with a nice, smooth fresh paint job

Well, we had the same issue with our house. And here's what we did:
We snaked new cables in the wall for the fan, and we bought and installed a new light switch that has a timer on one side, and a normal switch on the other. We had to enlarge the wall to fit this bigger switch, and we had to make all the relevant connections with the cables. It was actually fairly easy, surprisingly. Of course, I did that with someone that has over 35 years of experience working in the construction industry, so your mileage may vary.
