Shut the breaker off, test on a live circuit to verify the meter works, test on the circuit your about to remove to verify that its not charged, proceed.

Pull it all. Replace it with a vinyl window. If need be, flash it with aluminum and caulk all of the seams

Your made-up percentages mean very little. My family's life means a great deal.
I'm not willing to let my ego, my small man complex or whatever it is you cowboys are dealing with, put them at risk.
It's pointless thing to do. Your penis does not grow with risk taking.

I know. It drives me nuts when I see people DIY without. I get that it's an extra cost and all, but as I've said before: Fire bad, mold bad, electric shock bad. I fully support learning as you DIY, but there are some things you just don't want to wing it.

Concrete has been poured, this isn't "sitting in water" at any point.

What you see is salt. Water is in the concrete and there is salt dissolved in the water. When the water evaporates on the surface of the concrete, salt crystals remain.
More ventilation just means that the drying happens faster, but does not change the amount of water and salt that is in the concrete. So no, ventilation does not help. You need to prevent moisture from getting into the concrete in the first place. This may mean fixing leaks, grading around the foundation, sealing, etc.

You're asking a question in DIY and when people give you a product literally designed to do the exact thing you're asking, you argue. 😅🤣

You should put blueskin on the framing before installing the window frame

I love my teak bench. Had the same one, constantly in my shower, for 9 years now. Got it at bed bath & beyond. Highly recommend it.

Drilling pilot holes in studs is 100% a thing someone wanting to hang things will need to do.
OP needs a drill first, impact driver later. Hell, I do a bunch of stuff around the house and in woodworking and I've gotten by without an impact driver.

Don't use plywood, use cement board. It's waterproof and much sturdier. Also highly recommend you invest in a good tile levelling system. It's worth every penny

Holy shirt this stud finder actually works. Second best thing is a magnet on a string.

Purchase a Bosch laser level - ~45$ USD- this will make putting up anything shelf/picture etc a breeze. And get a label maker and properly label your circuit breakers- it will make your life much easier when you have to deal with wiring issues/swapping out fixtures-

Drainage and decent air flow are more important and almost certainly more useful than waterproofing.

The case / buttons alway throw off the reading- just get a cheap torpedo level-

Totally agree with others that a removable teak wood bench would be nicer anyway and save you a lot of trouble.

You need to find a stud? Got one right here!
Kidding aside, check out project farm on YouTube for their stud finders review.

I'd take a drill over a driver.
I'd rather have the chuck that can hold just about anything, than deal with a driver that can only hold certain kinds of bits. I feel like it gives you a bit more flexibility in what you can do. Sooner or later, you're going to need a holesaw or something, and you're going to find yourself saying, "Shit, I should've bought the drill"
Or just get both. They usually come in sets nowadays anyway. It's very convenient to have both.

Use kerdi board. Structural enough that you dont need wood framing.
