Thanks for this

Was planning to contact the soil, add 2-3” of gravel, then compact again before pouring. I’m thinking the felt paper may be the best material for me as the hose slab has some decent chunks of concrete that came through the underside of their forms that I’ll be pouring over. The paper would let me wrap around that as opposed to a fiber board.

Hi there, I’m currently making decorative Color changing potions for my fantasy book shelf. Made with isopropyl alcohol with food colouring and mica powder.

I really wanted to make a white liquid red powder potion but my white food colouring Fades after a day or two and the alcohol becomes clear again (while ALL the other colours work perfectly fine and don’t fade at all)

I’ve tried water colour paint and acrylic paint as well, but neither of those worked well with the mica. Does anyone know any other paint mediums with which I could colour isopropyl alcohol permanently? I wondered if alcohol ink would work but buying a singular bottle of white for just one potion is kinda expensive (since Im not selling them) Any ideas?

So funny though right! Breaking a rule in one sub while trying to keep people from doing so in your own. These subreddit rules are like HOAs.

No, not the electrical box. I am imagining a larger hole so he can cut a hole for the box in the sheetrock. Rather than just leaving the gap between the cabinet back and the wall open for critters and bugs seal that 1 inch space. The hole is already too big to have an outlet cover with extension cover it.

Those look like the current Lutron Caseta smart switches, which are LED compatible and according to manufacturer site may be compatible with low voltage lighting. Is it possible, and no offense intended here, that you're using the dimming buttons vs on/off buttons (the top and bottom ones)?

On the lighting... Those look very much like regular old rope lights which can be found on Amazon for about $1/ft

I don’t know if this is applicable to your case, but I would recommend looking up the local building codes. Expansion joints usually have to be done when a certain amount of feet of concrete has been poured, so you might need one even for such a small slab.

Also, make sure you’re not pouring directly against the foundation. If it’s poured too close, it can cause a lot of problems. You should create a gap between the slab and the foundation, then fill it with some type of filler material.

I once had a job delivering pizzas, and a regular customer of ours was a prosthetics shop called Breaky Prosthetics; which I found hilarious in and of itself.

Anyhoo, I made regular deliveries there, maybe once a week, for a couple of months before it happened, the moment I had been waiting for.

I arrived with the order, and the receptionist asked me how much it was. My reply?

"An arm and a leg!"

They were not amused, but that is still among my proudest irl joke moments
