Thank you! I’ve just looked it up. Sounds like exactly what I need, and it’s easy to remove as well. Cheers.

The only reason I ask is due to the fact that I figured any blemishes invited during install would be easier to deal with unstained.

Or really anything flammable. Trees, dry grass, etc.

You could try adding a 2x4 or 2x6 to the wall of the closet by using a few wall anchors or toggle bolts. Make sure it's secured firmly to the wall before attempting to mount your TV. A frame inside the closet is probably not necessary, but you may want to consider doing so depending on the weight of your TV. Good luck!

It would probably save your back if you stained before installation. Trust me, working on a ceiling HURTS. You’ll feel pain in places you didn’t know existed. So I recommend spending as minimal time as possible working on the ceiling. So stain it all before hand & then install. You’ll also stop yourself from making a mess on the floor with the stain dripping.

Yeah definitely not ideal but the yard is small so it’s not possible to be 10ft away from structures. It could be a bit further from the fence but then it would block the path of travel so I can see why the previous owner chose the current location.
I personally planned to get a portable gas fire pit (the ones you can take camping during an early stage fire ban) but since the house came with this pit I feel like it’d be a waste to not use it especially if I’m really only looking to build a fire the size of those portable ones

Thanks! I’m not planning to have any bonfires, just a small fire here and there

You’re good. I’ve seen a couple pop / crack with a big fire, but not anything to worry much about

Besides being too close to a structure?

You are correct. The metal shroud should go all the way to the bottom to cover the exposed blocks. That is the way mine is designed. OP could backfill with crushed gravel to take up the space maybe?

Those look like landscaping blocks to me. It should ok as long as you don’t have an absolute inferno in there. Technically they could have trapped air in them and explode but my old neighbors had landscaping blocks around their fire ring and never had a problem.

And if it's a basement, doesn't soy d like this is.
But a ceiling can help quite a bit with the noise of people walking above. Insulation too, but....

Here’s what I’ve figured out fixing it today: The supports on the back of the cabinet are ambidextrous, so you may be able to swap sides for a temp fox at least. My rails only use one side of the bracket at a time, so the L/R swap works when the other side is intact.
If this doesn’t make sense I’m happy to elaborate.

Otex primer works great, recommended by professional painters.

Do you have a source for this information? Not to be argumentative but I've literally never heard that nor ever seen drop ceiling covering drywall.

I have this same problem with one of the roller bearings. I can't find it anywhere. Same situation with American Woodmark slide hardware. For now, everyone has to 'support' the drawer while taking things out of it. Its the bane of my wife, whos irritated that its been like that for a year.

I appreciate you sharing your experience! I will keep it as ventilated as possible and try wearing a respirator most of the time. Hopefully I don’t end up woozy over here!

Ya that’s what I meant, and is one of the normal ways of installing drawer slides in a cabinet with face frames. 👍🏻
