Glad I wasn't the only one to experience that. I did 6 years in North Hollywood and couldn't do it anymore. Like you said, they're just cut differently on the west coast and I got fed up with it. Sure it's colder and I do miss the food scene but I'm happier here on the East Coast. One day I'll go to San Diego for a vacation.

I cannot understand why someone wouldn't like September and October in Connecticut. They are the best two months of the year here. I definitely understand hating the Winter grind but Autumn is absolutely phenomenal.

If you are only happy when it's hot, then you really need to live closer to the equator.

Fair point, but ineptitude on the part of the city and their vendor is not necessarily an excuse. By that rationale the government shouldn't be involved in almost anything. The solution there is due diligence and more accountability, not taking down those cameras.

I mean, why the hell does that stretch of road have a limited time frame in which speed limits are enforced? In countries I've been where they have speed cameras they're on 24 hours a day.

I feel this. I hate everything outside may-august and maybe some days in April / September.

I get so depressed on Oct / Nov knowing it's over.

I have small sparks of joy during the first few snows.

February through April is mostly just cold, and sometimes rainy, but mostly a grayscale hellscape of mud and ice and dead plants.

And this is where critical thought, and the ability to think outside the box needs to come into your equation. By your own words, it is not the arrest that can be used against a person, but rather their behavior during the process. A person who resist arrest and say attacks the cop in the process, would be a problem. But in that situation, the issue isn't that they were arrested, the issue was that they chose to say attack the cop. You're reading what it says, now I need you to pay attention to what it says.

You haven’t noticed that comments are what Reddit is all about? And, what’s really special is that people can comment both positively and negatively on things! They can joke, be sarcastic, all sorts of options! Complete sentences are also helpful.

It literally says the employer can determine that the conduct at issue in the arrest is a reason not to hire if it makes the person not fit for the position.

And get real, employers aren’t telling you the reason they don’t hire you. There is nothing that actually prevents them from just deciding a candidate with pending charges “isn’t a good fit” and just not calling them back.
