Lifetime Fitness is super clean and has newer equipment. It’s very expensive though, in my opinion.

Just a heads up I saw someone post on the next door app 2 weeks ago that everyone that ate at Sakura in Ellicott City that weekend got food poisoning from the rice. It was reported to the health department and some kind of bacteria was found in precooked rice that was left out too long. I know it can happen anywhere at any time but it’s still fresh in my mind and I just could not fathom eating there again so soon after hearing about an incident.

Koto was the first Hibachi place we visited when we moved here 9 years ago and we keep coming back!

All of the CA gyms are dope. Chiseled is cool if u like a younger crowd (last time I was there they were playing yeat on the intercom 🔥). Theres some IFBB folk at chiseled. Fittok influence is heavy in that place so be prepared to maneuver around tripods

Because there are more housing options and more activity options? Plus access to metro and better walkability.

Ginza is the place to go. Last time i was at koto they had a large roach crawl across the hibachi surface as we were eating our apps 🤮

They said they wanted easy access both to Columbia and a big city downtown. Commuting between DC and Columbia is a pain in the ass because there's no public transit and the beltway is a nightmare. In any event that's why I recommended Baltimore first. It's much cheaper and more fun to hang out in.

Why on earth would you do that? Silver Spring is just a more crowded version of Columbia. Might as well just live in Columbia.

Getting from DC to Columbia will be a nightmare. Getting out of DC will be a complete pain in the ass in the morning and going back in the evening will be even more of a pain in the ass.

I didn't know if they both had hibachi grill tables, but looking at both. Thanks for the recommendations!

Did you mean Sakura in Laurel or Ellicott City? Either way I’ve been going there for years and I’ve always had a good experience.

I personally think ginza has slightly better quality but at a little bit higher price. That being said Koto is still good and has a better space for a larger party if your expecting a lot of people

Commuting from downtown Baltimore is fairly easy. I’ve known people do that before.

When I first moved to Columbia, I was still commuting to DC everyday. It sucked, whether public transportation or by personal vehicle. I would drive to New Carrolton and take metro rest of the way. I would much rather drive to Baltimore without any hesitation.
