Only just moved to the area, but I've had some good ones at Bon Fresco.

Love Cava but I really wish Chopt would open a location in Columbia

I agree with that. And, emails aside, it highlights a basic flaw (or at least difficulty) in the governance to have such a blurry line between Columbia Council and CA Board.

Yeah its a minor thing I agree, but it just stands out to me. Like if such a minor inconvenience bothers you enough to bring it up for discussion I cant imagine how he might truly feel about the more substantial requirements / recommendations

Panera's salads aren't bad.

I'm a big fan of CAVA - Old Dobbin Ln, Columbia

Love Nalley but they raised their prices too much. And they charge more if paying by credit card.

It’s not really a salad but Taichi bubble tea near target on dobbin has veggie bowls that I enjoy.

I usually go to CaVa off Dobbin Road for my salads. It's in that same little plaza as Chipotle, Burger Fi, BOA and the Party City store.

Came to say Nalley Fresh. The one in Columbia is better than the one in downtown Baltimore was. The one in Hunt Valley is the best, but I haven't had a bad experience at the Columbia location.

There’s a Whole Foods across the Columbia mall

it can definitely be a cluster in there, so I order in advance. I do find it to be of superior quality though.
There really aren't many good salad places around so maybe it's worth it sometimes when you're sick of the mall or whole foods.

Oh you know what, I’ve never even thought to check if they have salads. Thanks!

Thanks! I still haven’t been to the mall food court for lunch, but it is super close.
I used to work next to a nalley fresh in downtown baltimore and it was kind of a cluster. Is the Columbia location good?

Nalley Fresh off Dobbin road near the Walmart is the best. The salad place in the mall food court isn't that bad either

Mod Pizza, right near the mall, has some good salads.

Kupcakes and Co make really good GF cupcakes. My SO is GF and I am not but I can vouch they are very good. Easily the best in the area. (for GF maybe in MD)
(edit: doesn't look like they have GF carrot cake at the moment)

I think he meant he didn’t have a village email address distinct from his CA email.

Alan’s comments about email addresses didn’t strike me as that bad. I don’t think he was saying “I should be able to use my CA email address for anything I want.” Instead, I thought he was saying “I should be able to use my CA email address for my position as a Columbia Council Representative.”
Not saying he’s correct about that but, to be fair, the distinction between CA Board member and Columbia Council Rep can be opaque.

Good to hear. I hope the 'ca-board.org' domain is handled this way as well.
On the CA website all the Board members have CA-board.org email addresses. A few of the Villages have their CA Rep listed with personal email addresses, not their CA-board.org addresses.
How have some of these people been in office nearly a year (some have served longer terms) and don't conduct business using their CA account. Clearly they've been using personal email to conduct CA business. That'd get you fired from most any job.

I can't speak to carrot cake specifically, but when I visited the new bakery in the 3rd, I was very impressed with the number of allergen friendly desserts they offered. https://www.applecorebakes.com/

Thirding the carrot cake at Roots/Great Sage. FYI, they are both at the same location, part of "Conscious Corner." Great Sage always has the carrot cake, and Roots always has the cupcakes in stock, though for whatever reason I like the cake a bit more. But, like someone else said, Roots does catering/custom orders so I'm sure they can get you a full cake.

I’d avoid Nalley fresh. The meat is low quality and they charge about $13+ for an entree.
