So sometimes they will put up paper signs on poles. And if it has snowed on said day of cleaning they will put it off a day or a week. Best to call the DPW to ask further questions.

When they got rid of the Dunkin, the whole neighborhood went downhill. Now Starbucks and Darwin's are gone. The Indian place across the street is gone. Central Kitchen, The Field. When will it end???

The ticket wouldn't have 'emergency street cleaning' listed as a reason. It would be the same fine as a regular 'street cleaning' ticket.
It's been long enough now that the temporary signs would've likely been removed or blown down, but, it's not an uncommon thing to have emergency street cleaning be the issue.
What corner were you parked at?

I'm devastated - i love that place, and they always had better prices than Blick across the street.

This, they usually will put up temporary signs if the dates were shifting.

If you are open minded Fly Together Fitness in Somerville is a kick ass pole fitness studio. Ultra inclusive of gender and body size and I personally think very friendly to people who are "weak" lmao. I couldn't lift anything beyond 35 lbs and now I can pull my body up a pole with ease after 6 months of classes. Also the vibes are very good for low confidence athletes. students and teachers alike encouraging each other. Sometimes you spend all class trying to achieve a trick and when you finally do you will usually hear someone in the background be like oh shit you did it and start clapping lol
Regardless of if you have an interest in pole fitness, consider a "hobby" body training sport like pole dance or rock climbing or break dancing or something similar. I find that when you have the ability to focus on more concrete goals other than "make my body stronger" like I want to land this trick or I want to climb this level it can make it so much easier to stick to it. I've started and quit exercising my whole life until I picked up a hobby sport rather than just weight training

Emergency street cleaning isn’t the reason why I was towed. Here is a redacted picture of my ticket.

Here is a redacted picture of my ticket. I’m not sure if anyone else was towed. I only discovered this the next day about 30 hours later.

I think you answered yourself there, you "thought" you had paid it. I use these apps and I am sure it's all set before I lock the car. AND there's a reminder on the app to let you know when you are X minutes away from the app meter expiring. Never once got a ticket anywhere when I used the app.

I'd add
- You were parked too close to an intersection. This seems likely given that OP felt the need to check two different streets for sweeping restrictions

Technically you can if you have the correct permits. What you put inside your moving pod is up to you. I wonder if we were in the Wild West that you folks would have the same obsession over hitching posts and watering troughs.
