Carlone is probably the only one who would oppose this. He'll trot out his Robert Moses era Urban Planning degree as if that is a positive thing and talk about how this popular urban amenity is actually a bad thing.

Because, you know, Cambridge needs to be like every other soulless suburb in this country. Any semblance of culture and fun is to be stamped out immediately.

There was a citizens petition filed in Jan or Feb that basically did that, the Doug Brown petition. It changed the table of uses to allow multi-families everywhere without changing the table of dimensional standards. He tried to submit it without signatures, so it failed by default.

It is very clear that at least a couple councillors (Nolan, Carlone, potentially others) plan to try to "upzone" the city without changing other aspects of the zoning code that make multifamily housing uneconomical to build.
The city could allow 6-plexes citywide tomorrow and every single one of those projects would still being going in front of the BZA for a dimensional variance.
The way I see it we are no where even close to fixing this problem. They can't even do the upzoning, let alone everything else.

Maybe this will push them to do it sooner

It’s expected that a city led plan is “supposed” to be released “soon” that will apparently be more bold than this.

I read the petition. This seems reasonable and much needed. Good luck to you!

That delivery charge does not seem right. If you are on another supply option your generation charge would be lower but the delivery charge should be the same at $0.13-0.14/kwh

You should switch over to the Cambridge Community Electricity program. https://www.masspowerchoice.com/cambridge
The standard is 10.2c / kWh. You still have to pay the delivery fee from Eversource.

That is normal if you have not signed up for one of the much cheaper supply options.
There's a state supplier switching site that helps find the cheapest option for you.

Cambridge public library carries it; while you can’t check it out, you’re more than welcome to make copies using the scanner

For the work truck it’s not the height, it’s that my Tools get flung around and slam into each other! You’ll notice most folks, such as myself, drive really slowly in our tool trucks cuz large potholes and other road bumps can not only make a mess, but break tools! Speed bumps are brutal for the tools slamming into each other and ladders sliding around. It’s not like they will fall off, it’s just loud, unpleasant, and expensive. And i don’t mean to sound like they shouldn’t change intersections where people are getting hurt, I just think removing vision obscuring items should happen way before speed bumps!
And the other car is a bone stock 996 that can’t make it over them

It’s not the speed, it’s the splitter. It’s a bone stock 996 that can’t make it over the ones in Sommerville unless I go diagonally.

The 7/11 by city hall usually has them. I got the Sunday edition there for puzzlemania.

This is admittedly Somerville, but the CVS in Davis carries it, which would make me think other CVSes might as well.

I completely agree with you but the city council uses the BZA and other unelected boards as a scapegoat. The council could, at any time, make these people powerless by changing the city laws. They don't. It is a feature, not a bug.
