Your meter number should be on your bill.

Seriously make friends with people of Indian origins, and have foods shared between the two of you. I'm not a fan of many restaurants, and I'm a big fan of home made foods.

Chutney’s at Harvard Square in the Garage. Really authentic and great quantities

Look at the meter. The number is always going up until it overflows back to zero. The owner company reads once a month and subtracts last months number from the current one. If you live in a multi-unit building, throw your main breaker and look for the meter that’s no longer moving or counting up

There is a different meter for gas and electricity
That's the electric.

Yeah I wanna know what the comparison point is for everyone here recommending Punjabi Dhaba…loved the staff, but the food was extremely meh for me.
Have you tried Maharaja or Guru the Caterer? Former I like for, let’s say, “standard” Indian restaurant fare, Guru is really good homestyle North Indian. I continue to hunt for a good Gujarati restaurant but alas, this is probably not the area for it.

Look at the meter. It moves pretty slowly so you'll have to decide what your sampling interval is going to be.

Another vote for Punjabi Dhaba in Inman. I haven’t eaten there in a while, and certainly not since the move, but I have many fond memories of Tanjore.
For Thai food, I’d recommend Dakzen on Highland in Somerville. It’s right across the street from the Cambridge city line, so hopefully it’s still close enough (neat trick if you have a Cambridge resident sticker, and want to drive and park). I also would recommend Sugar and Spice in Porter Square. I’m not vegan, but I love their Vegan Kow Yum. It’s both photogenic and delicious.
The only Vietnamese I really know of in Cambridge is Le’s in Harvard Square. Despite the lack of competition, I think it’s still pretty good. That said, you’d have far more choices south of the Charles, especially in Dorchester.

Kebab Factory and then my favorite is India Pavilion. Punjabi Dhaba is great too.

The lunch special is almost good for two lunches... Fragrant and tasty. I wish it was a better location.

Huh, working nearby I used to go for lunch sometimes and found it adequate but kind of bland, generic and uninteresting.
I always make the trek to Surya instead. No buffet, but worth it.

If it’s so easy, feel free to open up a Goan or Bengali or Kerala restaurant here. You should get your James Beard award quite soon.
