Are you able to get in contact with them? Me and my partner have been interested in those apartments but they don't respond to our emails or phone calls.

Should be pretty obvious that the benefit is paying for a fraction of the house instead of the whole thing, with the downside being you have to share it with your weird coop roommates.

This is the second post on co-op housing I'm seeing today. What's going on?

I used to live nearby, though not in that building. Just a warning, there's a chocolate factory next door, and it makes the whole area smell like chocolate. You might think that's a good thing, but when you have to live with the overpowering stench of chocolate all day, you get tired of it real fast. Just be warned before you move in.

This is a huge plus for the community. Childcare prices here are extreme. Parents need relief.

Oof, I love them but even compared to Mahoney's they are pricey AF. And I am the type to spend more than I have any business doing on a plant that strikes my fancy.

Yeah but its extra fun to blast out in reverse with your rear window obstructed by all the plants you bought.

It would depend how this structure was zoned. Is the property considered a single multi-family structure or two single structures? If you go the city property database you can search the address and probably find out.
You can only rent your primary residence - either an apartment in a building you own and live in, or additional bedrooms in your home. So if that other building was a separate lot, it wouldn't be compliant.

Reply to Neighbors push to save iconic mural outside Middle East club in Central Square by b00gerbear
>He spoke with the original muralist, Daniel Galvez. The artist is willing to come back and paint the mural again.
The city collects extra business taxes to fund the BID (Business Improvement District). The idea was the extra taxes go to the upkeep of Central Sq. Given how that's been going, maybe they should just commision a new portrait from the original artist instead?
There's no way the original survives construction.

I think river Gods had an early morning license too but they are closed so at this point it might just be the cantab left. I’d go there around 8 am because I was “paying my meter” but I don’t know if it could open earlier than that

Reply to Constant wrong way biking on Shepard St by jimpaulmitsi
This was obvious to me since the protected bike lanes on Garden were in design. I think the best solution is to petition Harvard to get rid of the shrubs between the brick wall and the sidewalk and pave a contraflow bike lane / shared use space, maybe combined with the city sidewalk from the intersection to the first driveway.

Yeah, you go to any bar in Cambridge and everyone knew for a long time. A lot of folks (ladies) didn’t want to speak out for fear of not being able to score another job in the area.
When I worked for the ME in the late 2000s my GF at the time wouldn’t come visit me ‘cause Joseph used to call her at like 2am and ask what she was up to. I don’t know how I didn’t see that as a red flag.
Cathy used to cover for his shit also.
