The Cambridge park drive one is decent. It’s open to the public. At 200 Cambridge park drive but the revival for fried chicken Friday is where you want to go

I take my cat to Porter Square Vet. I like them, prices are reasonable, vets are attentive and you can easily schedule an appointment, no long waitlists.

If that's a negative for you, then you should probably stop looking for corporate cafeterias.

Pet Haven in Watertown has been great for the cats! Dr. McCarthy is caring and thorough as they come, at least in our experience.

What is a better option? I don’t need one but I do have my Brothers dog for extended time and that will likely be a continuous trend so it’d be nice to be prepared if so. TYIA!

Yep, and it seems like the yelp page is the same. In fact, it looks like some of the google reviews are identical to the ones on Yelp. So people felt strongly enough to post in both

I use those same ones; I bought them on Amazon and didn't know they sold them at Tags. The Cambridge stickers are small enough that you can get four years out of one pack.

yeah the law school isn't very cafeteria-y though I guess? I remember it was open to the public pre-pandemic and took cash/cc. IDK you can get into the law school student center without a swipe anymore though, I believe harvard policy is still affiliates only in the buildings, but if you're like a contractor/construction guy on campus for something and go to one of the cash places they have (something that isn't specifically a student/faculty dining hall) no one cares.

While I think it is important to support small businesses, that is reserved for ethical small businesses. I don’t feel the same way about businesses that have numerous reviews dating back 8 years (found another) saying that they fleece their customers and are very opaque about pricing.

I wonder that, too. I will say that at the height of Covid, it was nearly impossible to find vets with available slots, which is why we ended up there. It does occur to me that this post may have an impact on future business for them (however slight) and its never my intention to harm small local businesses. But I just think something like vet care is so important and its also already hard enough for many people to afford without inexplicably high prices. I’m a lifelong Cambridge resident too, and I can’t stand the influx of new businesses replacing the ones I loved and patronized over the years. But CVC ain’t among them.

Wow the reviews really are awful. A below 4.0 rating is a death sentence for most small businesses that aren’t franchises. They have awful reviews dating back to at least 6 years ago, I wonder how they’ve managed to keep it going.
