Most of the MA mountain in the east are getting rain and don’t have any conditions. Mount Snow and Stratton are two and a half hours in VT and Sunapee and Gunstock are a little closer in NH.

For us it has been a total win — and I say that as someone who lives below a child. Financially, we have already built a lot of equity through criminal levels of appreciation in housing values.
Cambridge and Somerville are cities. The vast majority of people live in condos. They appreciate just as much as SFHs.

Filing fees should be fucking illegal. “Pay a fee to assert your rights!”

Redline fight sports is a two minute walk from central station. They allow for open gym. They have free weights , squat rack, and barbells. The fighting classes are a great workout whether you do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, etc. First class is free if you want to give it a whirl / check out the space.

Depends what you are looking for.
Nashoba - Very close. A small hill (250 ft vertical). Their website says 17 trails but it’s really more like 6. Ok if you are just learning or want to mess around for a day.
Wachusett - A significantly larger hill. 1000 ft vertical. You could spend a day here and not be disappointed.
Waterville Valley / Loon Mnt - The two closest “resorts” to Boston, ~2 hour drive. 2000 foot vertical. Easily spend an entire day here and not get bored, more advanced terrain, etc.

I put down 3.5% with a FHA. refinanced 3 years later to remove PMI. 10 years I am now around 60% equity on it. I can't afford to move anywhere else in Mass, but hey can't win them all.

My friend's family business does original windows. Our windows are sadly not original but they're done other work around our house and it's always been top notch. http://www.laskyhomesmith.com/

From the Cambridge Traffic & Parking Website:
https://www.cambridgema.gov/iwantto/payaparkingticket
“If your ticket is not dismissed, you may pay the ticket or request an in-person hearing at the Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department's office. All hearings must be requested and scheduled in advanced. During the hearing you will meet with the Hearing Officer. The Parking Control Officer who wrote the ticket will not be present. You will have the opportunity to: explain the reason you feel the ticket was issued in error, provide details of any extenuating circumstances, and provide any documentation or evidence that supports your claim. If your ticket is dismissed the process is complete. If your ticket is not dismissed, you may pay the ticket or appeal the ticket through the Middlesex County Superior Court, 200 Trade Center, Woburn, MA. There is a $275.00 filing fee.”

No, it was a desirably property that was well staged - there has been crazy appreciation in the past 5 years in Camberville. It was purchased for around $800k and sold for around $1.4M.
I see different examples all the time. I saw a multi that was purchased close to Union Sq purchased for around $500k that will now likely sell for around $1.6M.

At this point, you’ll have to either pay the fine or take it the next level up which might be a lawsuit. It’s highly unlikely to be worth your time and money. You’re probably better off paying it.

Did it on my own. The traffic and noise alone is unbearable. Probably eventually sell and move further out lol

There aren’t too many, but you may be able to find a detached condo which can be the best of both worlds. Generally the detached units are in the back of the lot also, which could be great with a kid to keep away from the street!

Sorry, just saw this.
Under $1000/month in a 3 bed is pretty good deal (almost too good to be true depending on the exact amount), so I would probably be cautious. Really depends on the number of roommates (if 1 bedroom is a couple, totally possible), location (some locations have a lot more $3k/month 3 beds), bathrooms (just 1 bathroom? yeah, no one wants a 3 bed with 3+ roommates in that situation lol), etc.
I would probably try to meet them in person if possible. It's harder to fake a room + ID in person vs over Zoom/Facetime. Plus it should let you meet the roommates and see if you're really interested. Ask for the landlord's contact info too and confirm they're legit. Faking all of that should be decently hard, and give you some comfort.

LifeTime near Assembly is phenomenal and has free classes, separate saunas in each of the locker rooms and huge indoor pool.
