Not vegetarian only, but Cicada near central square! Lovely place and some of the best food I've ever had in one of the most cozy atmospheres with insanely nice staff!

+1 to True. Really nice to check out a legitimately nice (white table cloth) vegan restaurant. Delicious, too.

Lots of good recs on this list. One to add: Zhu in Arlington (on Mass Ave - 77 bus from Harvard Square leaves off right in front) is very good for vegan pan-Asian. https://www.yelp.com/biz/zhu-arlington

Dealing with their online system is a total disaster and it’s impossible to get a live person on the phone. I switched to Atrius and much happier with the ease of connecting to my pcp, scheduling specialist visits etc.

Their service is super spotty in my experience, but the food is arguably worth it

Veggie Crust (in Somerville and Brookline) does Indian and pizza, and it's great!

We tried Milk Bar once, it was awful and the out of town person who had wanted to go apologized to us for suggesting it.

Those cookies sealed in plastic weren't even Instagramable.

Milk Bar was a gigantic let down for me as well.

Milk Bar is chain of dessert and bakery restaurants founded by a celebrity chef, Christine Tosi, which hit its stride/peak like a decade ago in NYC.
I'd say the product was expensive and not as good as other bakeries in Cambridge or the Boston area. My girlfriend describes it as 'Instagram food.'

I wanted it to be good, was excited when it came, but it just... wasn't

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll give that a shot.

Bye bye. Milk Bar was one of the most overrated things ever to roll through Cambridge. Hopefully it doesn’t become another bank. Would give a few of my fingers to have the Greenhouse back!

I hadn't heard of these places before, but Milk Bar was a dessert bakery? That seems to be a weird choice of name. I'd have expected milk products like a dairy bar.
Also, Milk Bar & Pizza sounds like a terrible time for someone with lactose intolerance.

Not vegetarian only, but Oleana and Sarma (same owners) have fantastic vegetarian food options. I’m a vegetarian and have always found a ton to good options.
I also like Andala Coffee House, Punjabi Dhaba, and Dumpling House (fantastic vegetarian mapo tofu and vegetarian dumplings)

Clover and Koshari Mama are great! Also, all Indian restaurants have great vegetarian options, and if you want to try some south-indian fare I'd highly recommend Vaanga (on Water St, Boston) and Madras Dosa Company (Boston Wharf Rd). The crispy Masala Dosa is a must try!

Probably worth opening the control plate up and taking some contact cleaner to the electronics (pots, switch, input jack), to start. Unless you have a hollow body where it's tough to get access to all of that, disassembly and reassembly should be pretty straight forward and it's really only an exercise of unscrewing the plates and screwing them back in afterwards.
