Most of the public schools have clothes recycling bins near to their regular recycling bins.

It’s in the bottom half of Cambridge incomes.

Also check your school for any off-campus housing resources.

Although it's not as high relative to the greater Boston area pay averages, or eastern Mass.
(for example, Federal location based pay adjustment is +31% for Boston and Middlesex, and minimum wage in MA is significantly higher than Federal minimum wage)

78k is more than 68% of Americans make.

It is doable of OP is willing to live in a less than stellar place with many roommates. Source: I lived in dumps with many roommates in some of the places listed while in grad school.
Were these places up to code? Absolutely not.

Your budget is low but I was able to make the high end of that work fairly recently. Though rent has gone up quite a bit even in the past 2 years.
If you are willing to live in a place that’s a bit of a dump with 3 or more roommates (not including yourself), you should be able to find something. But realistically you can’t write off Facebook and Craigslist if you don’t have friends with an open room.
Every accommodation I found when I was living in that area was through friends. And at that price expect some issues with the place…and by issues I mean blatant code violations. I never lived in a nice place but it was good enough for college and grad school.

Word, the clarity is in the words written in the listing

My boyfriend (phd student) has a spot in his apartment in east cambridge for $875 (or at least that's how much he's paying--not sure if all the rooms in the apartment are the same price). Their roommate just moved out unexpectedly so they need a new person until the end of the lease. If you're interested could you provide more details about yourself and what you are looking for?
(Idk how to prove I'm an actual person and not a scammer, but if you dm me I can provide whatever information you need).
(And I agree with the other commenter that that is a very low budget for the area. My boyfriend's apartment is unusually cheap.)

That’s a really low budget for the area. You might have better luck in Medford or Allston/Brighton, neither one is super far via the T

It's very clear in the listing that it's income restricted, hence the low price.
This is a standard thing for affordable housing.

I checked 'em out today. I didn't see chai on the menu right away, I ask if they have it, he goes "you can try our chai!" and promptly pours a sample. It was top notch, so I got a big one. Yafa seems like a great addition to Camberville I will be back!

To you and all the Yafa recommenders... wow that chai slaps! Very strong spice flavor (cardamom and another I couldn't quite place) with a good amount of tea. It was absolutely delicious on a cold afternoon.

The 'patient' in this case is a learning tool. It's not a regular cleaning appointment. You get nearly free dental procedures, they get you in chair for 15 to 20 hours over the course of a couple months. That's the trade. That's why you have never experienced anything like this before. If you have dental insurance then this really isn't "worth it", unless you want to help dental assistants. If you have no insurance, then this is a great deal, provided you have the time.
Just like if you can afford to rent a jet ski, sitting in a 2 hr time share pitch for a jet ski rental isn't worth it.

How do you think your own dentist learned? This is a requirement of medical programs and they are supervised. And it takes a while because students are learning and they are likely other exams and what not they are doing. For privileged people like you this might be absurd but this is a well needed service for the underserved who go years without any dental hygiene leading to all kinds of medical issues. If you want to be an ass, do it on your own time but don’t shit in someone trying to make an impact.
