Every company I've worked for offered a low, or zero-deductible plan.

It’s a real shame Darwin’s is closing. Tbh it was the only place I could walk to and get a decent sandwich in Cambridge/Boston. I’ve since moved to nyc and loving all the bodegas and delis in nearby walking distance, cheaper and way more options. My dream is to start a nyc deli in Boston and sell the only proper bacon egg and cheese in town

Cambridge has been losing its soul for years and this just feels like one of the last nails in the coffin. Cambridge now feels like a dead mall. But outside.

He’s very close to retirement and the hours are more and more limited. Great quality but will need to find an alternative soon…

Even with no holidays, there are only ~250 work days per year. So it's not possible to have that much PTO unless they are counting weekends as PTO...which also doesn't make sense.

He did a pretty full tailoring job on my suit (pants & jacket) for I think a little under $300.

Harvard: Pavement in smith center; also Blackbird donuts if you just want plain/cheaper drip coffee; Harvard’s art museum has an okay cafe; Clover if you like expensive pour overs…

Thanks for the rec! And yes I searched tailor on the sub but none in recent years had pricing details, hence the new ask. Realizing now it may be impossible to answer since the services are likely priced based on piece, fabric, and extent of modifications

I would argue that officers who truly believe in justice should be advocating internally for these techniques and approaches and asking to have those responsibilities given to those trained for it. It feels reductive and irresponsible to me that the argument could boil down to "I wish we had people to care for these folks, but since we don't I guess I have to kill them." Officers are conditioned to believe that killing one person can save others, but that system empowers them to make judgement calls about whose lives are valuable enough to save. I would like to see a shift in culture where officers stand up and say "stop putting me in positions where I have to end innocent lives" instead of being conditioned to believe they are actually doing good for society.
I also acknowledge that the level of income inequality in our country creates power dynamics in which individuals cannot always risk losing their jobs over their principles (though if they stood together they'd have a lot more power to do so). This is further evidence that we have a cultural problem around policing and that we should continue to expose how race, mental health, economics, and policing are always intersecting. Saying that someone is "astroturfing an anti-racist agenda" over any story about police brutality overlooks the reality that the history of policing is racial in nature.

You can set up gas and electric with eversource online without a phone call, if the landlord gives you the account numbers for both gas an electric.
This is how I’ve done it at every apartment I’ve lived in.
You might be able to setup internet access with a phone call as well, they have apps that walk you through setup, though they can be finicky at times.

They also say they tried a less lethal option first. They shot him with a rubber bullet but that didn’t stop him.
Rubber bullets are frequently called non-lethal but they can be lethal in rare cases when they hit someone in the head.

Haven’t been there for a few years, but this guy was great, and almost stupidly underpriced. Also, I think this same question was asked a couple of years ago, so search the sub.
