Yep, it has a speed limit of 25 mph :( I was on an adjacent street with the same citywide limit and I don’t estimate I was going faster than 30-35 mph (edit: but don’t have a way to know for sure)

I joined a league at Urban Axes and have been going for a little over two years. Its a ton of fun and the people are great! Even if you come in with no experience, everyone will take you under their wing and help you get better! Its very satisfying to watch the rookies succeed!

How fast were you going that you totaled your car on Brattle Street, which has a speed limit of 25 mph?

Tasers should not be used. Japanese police resolve this exact situation with poles and fucking gumption. It's fair to say we're doing something wrong with training officers in America

I buy a different brand of good quality eggs called Happy Eggs and yes there’s a huge different in taste. The eggs are richer and taste more eggy so to speak. Like if you go back to the 3$ factory farm eggs they taste like neutral protein like tofu by comparison. Yolk is deep red orange which helps the eat with our eyes factor too. I buy these eggs to eat as a main course. They are very good if you make runny ramen eggs but also if you want to make egg salad with half hard cooked eggs. If I’m baking or making batter or otherwise mixing the eggs into something to use as filler I use cheap eggs.

I would totally do this but I don’t have a car, so getting there and back with groceries could be difficult

I think it’s worth the drive into Somerville for Market Basket. I have one on my way home from work too that isn’t as hectic but otherwise I only go to WF/TJ in a pinch.

During the pandemic, I would walk to MB and then Uber back (whenever safe). It wasn’t a bad practice for once every week or two.

Unit price is still cheaper at Target. 18 eggs at $6.99 is .39 cents per egg
12 eggs at $4.99 you pay slightly more at .42 cnets and egg. Im spiltting hairs here. but I enjoy saving money

It's 30 minutes / 1.5 miles each way from Central.
I like walking but fuck that for groceries.

Yeah it sucks. That Shaws was awful but it was nice to have in the neighborhood.
Whole Foods the only walkable option for a real grocery store. Target/H-Mart/Daily Table are helpful but not a full grocery.

Nope, I bought those exact eggs at Whole Foods last week for $6.99. This was the Whole Foods in Medford

Will definitely be checking them out! I always assumed they would be even pricier based on my prior experiences with food co ops. Thank you for recommending :)

Hit their website, get a $1 off (costs you about 50 cents to print and $10 of your time), and find where your chicken grew up, https://vitalfarms.com/farm/
They are a Austin, TX company. If you are concerned about that, buy the same farm eggs from your local farmers market, at least you are looking after MA that way.

At Daily Table? The cheapest ones?? That doesn’t seem right given the rest of their prices. I know eggs have gotten more expensive broadly, but I’ve definitely paid less than that recently at Trader Joe’s. That’s frustrating.

Reply to comment by Ok-Ferret-1990 in How do public schools enrolments work? I just relocated here and I have a 4.5 yo (born June 2018). I’m confused by the Pre-K, K, elementary system works. Can anyone give me some advice on where to get the best explanation or explain it to me? by Ok-Ferret-1990
I recommend your proximity schools. You will have 2 and you get a lottery bonus to enroll (Amigos is never a proximity school, FYI).
The advantage of a proximity school is that there will be more kids within walking distance of the school, so when your kid makes friends, it will be easier for them to walk over which is nice.
Do you know which schools are proximity for you?

You could have killed someone. Here's my advice: declare the car a total loss, or learn the fucking rules of the road. If a turkey distracts you, what are you doing with your phone while driving?
