If buying from Amazon, why not just go to Whole Foods? Anyway, I know K-Mart is expensive, but I like the bulgogi. But, eggs?

This is outrageous! Most times you can get a dozen for less than $6 but it used to be like $2.79 or something... Inflation is out of hand.
BuckyWunderlick007 t1_j3ykt7f wrote
Yup, I guess inflation wasn’t just transitory. Those are designer eggs though. You can also get an 18 pack of just eggs at the same H Mart for half that.

Right? I'm sure the price of eggs are increasing, but those are probably the most expensive eggs you can buy

Amazon Fresh is selling eggs for $4.29/dozen

What about those non-organic, non-pasture-raised eggs below?

This is a mystery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a cliche.

Dude, if multiple cars are doing it in a single month, you can’t simply blame recklessness. That’s insane. I don’t know whether the angled barrier was added on brattle st or not, but either way it demonstrates the obvious problem-people are unfamiliar with these things, they’re not visible enough, and they’re causing accidents. The lawsuits these things will generate are going to be wild.

What if the barrier is under snow?

Thank you all, this is all super useful! I’ve reached out to the organisation & got some advice. I have a follow up question…. Which pre-K/schools do you recommend in the central Cambridge area? And why? Thanks again 🙏🏼

if i drive my car into a concrete barrier, i would probably blame myself for driving into a concrete barrier as opposed to blaming cyclists and those pesky city officials for installing said concrete barrier

In addition to the lottery, reach out to the CPSD. When we moved here last year, one of them ‘took over’ our case and navigated us through every step. It was quite fantastic and made it easy for us.

If you were talking about Boston, I'd agree with you. Cambridge, not so much. It's a hassle to get your car registered in MA because the RMV is complete garbage, but once you have it registered I fail to see how owning a car in Cambridge is more of a hassle than taking public transportation or relying on Zipcar, or more expensive than rideshare and Zipcar.
I own a car and a bike and live next to the Red line. I bike and T and take the bus when it's convenient, drive when it's not. You can get by without a car in Cambridge but it's certainly not more convenient and it's cheaper only if you don't value your time.

The solution to drivers turning into the lanes is to add a yellow flex post at intersections.

No, it was the angled barriers at the entrance that some reckless drivers managed to flip their cars on.

Others have said it, but I want to emphasize that you're asking this question at the *perfect* time. The JK/K lottery is this month and only this month! (Well, you can register later, but you have less choice.) Act now!
Also - the CPSD site has recordings of Zoom information sessions explaining the lottery. Might be helpful.
Also also - Cambridge is full of excellent elementary schools. You're unlikely to make a wrong choice.

Interesting to see that nobody really knows exactly what's happening with it. I've wondered every time I've driven by. Seems weird that they don't post something on the construction fences making it obvious.

Yes, I understand. My point is that OP needs to be sure the question is specific to Cambridge and the response is as well. Someone from Somerville isn’t going to be helpful.
CPSD is a better option.

Actually it is a group that has parents from Cambridge, Somerville, and surrounding towns and is a robust community with a ton of helpful info and helpful people.
