What part of “other risk factors” do you not understand? If we know we have the risk factors, we don’t need strangers telling us we don’t. I’m not going to list online all his personal health details, which is beside the point anyway. I asked for places to get a paxlovid prescription, not for strangers to judge qualification. Other people understood this and I got many helpful responses, so my partner was able to get the prescription BECAUSE HE QUALIFIES. Kindly don’t get paxlovid for yourself if you’re so against it.

Maybe if you're going to post on the internet about something maybe you should provide more details. It says he has a risk factor of "early onset Alzheimer's" (says nothing about his mother ...). That's not a risk factor. He clearly doesn't qualify for paxlovid and doesn't necessarily need it. That's why he's been blown off.

+1 I filled out their form (which actually had risk factors besides asthma and HIV), and they just prescribed it to me after only confirming that I'm not allergic to it and don't have kidney problems. I had tried multiple other doctors and pharmacists, and they all said it was only for old people and argued with me about my risk factors. But Color actually recognized that there are other risk factors and made a simple prescription with no fuss. I highly recommend them.

Do they not qualify...? It's not a benign treatment , and if you have no real risk factors, there's really no benefit to taking it.

How early is early onset Alzheimer's? Seems quite odd that you call them "young" but also say that they have early onset Alzheimer's... Early onset is like 40s-50s. Not "young"

I’ve seen the Alewife reverse direction during major storm events, with no breach at the Amelia Earhart Dam. What happens is the Mystic River rises above the height of the Alewife and then tailwater from the Mystic fills the Alewife Brook and it reverses direction. For reference, this is documented in the Tri-Community Working Group Final Report from 2005. This statement is not meant to underplay the seriousness of a breach of the dam. But it’s important to understand how slow the Alewife Basin is and that the Alewife does reverse direction in large storms.

I don't think it reverses flow during typical flood events -- only if the Amelia Earhart dam in Everett is overtopped by rising sea level / storm surge, which would make the Mystic River flow in reverse.

So, I actually had an issue with this last year but the resolution was ultimately pretty okay...just took ages.

Got a ticket in August or September of 2021 that I disputed. By January, it was still under review and the fact that it was unpaid was preventing me from ordering my 2022 resident pass. After grumbling about it a bit, I decided the $30 wasn't worth the trouble and just paid the ticket in order to get my new permits. Sometime around February or March, I got a notice in the mail that they had finally found in my favor and were going to toss out the ticket and that I would no longer be on the hook for what was now listed as a $0.00 infraction. I was annoyed, grumbled some more, and went about my life. Then, about two months ago (more than a year after the original ticket, 6 or so months after they tossed out the ticket), I suddenly received a $30 check in the mail from the city.

Took forever and a day but everything eventually worked out.
