I couldn't believe it. He sold it to me, I went and got a new spark plug, chain and Bar and it fired right up. Once the snow goes away I'm going to put another couple hours into it and I think I'll have a lifelong tree cutting partner

In a previous job, I sold Stihl products.
The MS260 is a model from the professional line. It will last you a long time. Good balance of power and weight.
That’s the second version of the model. The previous one had a fuel and oil cap that needed to be opened with a tool.
The MS261 replaces this today and goes for around 650 usd.
Good purchase.

Haha that's funny bc your old car situation is my current one XD it's like you're me from the future lol
I don't even have a dish washer so it'll only be getting handwashes from me! I'll try to take care of it like you have.

My vote goes for Redecker, made in Germany. And their very many different types of brushes and dusting apparatus.

I have a horsehair broom and a corn broom from redecker. Both are amazing. I’ve had the horsehair broom for about 10 years and it still looks like new. I also love that it’s plastic free! I am really careful, though, to store it with its bristles up, which makes a huge difference.

I bought a tile-floor shark vacuum from Costco a few years ago for about $300. It's faster and picks up the dust/dirt/hair way better. I'm never sweeping ever again.

I bet you want to be the type of person to encourage people to contribute to Reddit, because without people feeling encouraged to answer questions you would have no forum to be so discouraging

Whatever broom you choose, never store it resting on the bristles. Hang it up, or rest it upside down. I think that’s what ends up ruining brooms the fastest.

Reply to comment by POPCORN_EATER in Question about rice quality when using a Zojirushi rice cooker by POPCORN_EATER
Believe me I thought it was ridiculous to even wash rice and never did it. I would just scoop it out of the bag with my measuring cup, chucked it in my Aroma, added water to the desired line, and pressed cook! And to be honest what came out was “rice”. But it was by no means excellent rice. The difference—because after all, we are talking about rice….just simple, old, dependable rice, goes like this: For about 15 years I drove a 1990 Honda accord DX. This car was like my unwashed Aroma Rice. 240,000 miles, Dependable, took me across the country twice, did what it’s was asked to do, not too fast, not too slow, nothing special, radio stopped working, a/c went out, rear door handle came off, and it was definitely unwashed and filthy. But yet, it was still a car, and it still got me around. And I drove it in that condition for years. Then after that decade or so I was able to buy a brand spankin new 2014 Honda Civic SI with zero miles. Everything worked perfect! The A/C pumped out cold air, the doors all opened and shut, the sound system was great, and the car performed like a dream! It was beautiful, to me. I would go out for drives…just to drive! And it was jet black, so I washed it…a lot.
I learned to appreciate.
But in the end, it fundamentally did what my Accord had done for years. I took me from point A to B. But the difference was the enjoyment while underway.
That is the difference in properly washed rice.
I’ve had the cooker for about a year. No scratches. I only hand wash it, and only use the paddle that comes with it.

Hack from Germany is excellent. They are also sold on Manufactum who in general are great curators of BIFL products.

I replaced my 27 year old Maytag set with a Samsung front loading pair. Washer can easily handle queen sized bedding and clothes and linens come out quite clean. You do need to leave the door open until dry and wipe the seal to avoid mold (I have never had mold), and I have not had trouble with the door alignment. Get the drawers for the base—you can store soap and irons and sewing kits below. Also, if you are over 40, you will be glad not to bend or sit to do your laundry.

I love these, because you can open them with muscle memory, as the numbers don't move. Master locks have the entire face that turns.

That’s funny, you edited your original comment to correct it then made this snarky comment.
You can add “edited” after you do so to avoid this situation.

I have a Dell that is 10+ years old. My daughter (8) uses it as a web browser to access her schoolwork. I tried to give her a newer one but she likes it and it still works for all basic browsing needs etc. It is by no means a powerhouse but it is still used almost daily.

The quality of the broom won’t help if you’re storing it wrong. Brooms should be stored leaning the head up or hanging so the weight is not in the bristles.
