They are absolutely fantastic boots, I've not got safety clogs but I've a pair of normal derby boot clogs going on 4 years old now, still basically mint condition (with a bit of looking after).

The clog sole takes a bit of getting used to apparently - I didn't particularly notice but I went from 7 years of no shoes straight into clogs and they felt the most natural thing in the world to me.

I'm guessing the low relative price is because unlike conventional shoes there's no challenging sole stitching as the uppers are nailed to the soles.

Lands End is even worse than Bean as far as how crappy it’s gotten…Bean is still decent quality but not as good as it once was. But Lands End stuff is unwearable now.

We still have a couple of their kids storm jackets that have passed through 3-4 kids and look brand new from around 2012 but everything from there feels super cheap and fits weird now, when fabric and fit used to be their specialty.

I'm not sure if I would consider them an air mattress, but this is probably the best option durability-wise. When I was growing up my family had some that lasted 10+ years (but not of daily use!). I think they were Thermos brand but I'm not sure. The especially nice thing about them is that if they do spring a leak, you take them to your bathtub and stick them underwater until you find the leak, then patch it up.
