The problem is the shape, look at the pic from behind in another comment. Do you think that can be fixed?

It's fucking absurd. I honestly don't need that much power, but it's the one they bought for the (small) garage I work in.
It's not this model, but looks exactly like it.
It burns a gallon of kerosene an hour 😂

Kerosene heaters in a garage are the shit! It gets it so warm so fast.
I work in an unheated garage all winter. My 100k BTU kero heater is a lifesaver for me!

Back home we used these kerosene heaters all winter. But, we always stored the fuel outside. Please be careful.

I’m no plumber but I’d think it would be much easier to disconnect the water heater and tilt it sideways (after draining obviously). They’re not very hard to connect/disconnect and then you don’t need to cut a hole in your ceiling

This clearly a 200 year old Fallout toolbox. Check it for an adhesive junk item.

15-20$ gets you a decent Pferd file for steel which are among the best on the market. Yeah 40$ for a nail file is overpriced by about 35$ because it does not require any real hardening for that, it's just finely grooved sheet metal that can fly out of a production machine and hardly requires any workers to operate it...
Sure enough you can find a bunch on aliexpress for 2-3$.
Also, the same Japanese one is 14.5$ on Japanese Amazon, it's just terribly overpriced when exported.

Don't. It's a 14-15$ file. I think you'll be disappointed at 40$...
Japanese stuff is way cheaper on Japanese Amazon. Sadly the shipping is pricey but if you bundle it up with other stuff it gets really cheap (like, I sometimes buy Japanese tools, they're often quite affordable - Vessel screwdrivers are 3-6€ for top notch quality, Engineer pliers, Olfa, Tsunoda pliers, KTC tools etc... Koken and Nepros are also cheaper than elsewhere, but they're sill not cheap - though best quality stuff on the market for sure).

As I understand it:
Short antenna is shorter range but works best in hilly terrain (signal is 'rounder ')
Long antenna is long range but works better over flat terrain (signal is horizontally 'oblong').
I realise this is actually a function of the dbi but I believe length is inversely related to dbi.

That can be the case for many people, someone should design a collapsible one, or multiple part one that connects. allowing everyone to change it. I just bought a hybrid 80 gal, I only have 2ft of clearance above it. I'm gonna have to cut a hole in the ceiling and put in an access panel. glad mines in the garage lol.
When I pulled out my 12yo heater, the anode rod was nothing. There was nothing left.
