i've actually been a user since 2003 branded as a Sears Kenmore HE3t. I think it is Miele, it was made in Germany. Very high quality machine that has served my large family very well. Issue for me is its capacity is 3.5 cubic feet and the Mieles sold in the USA now seem to be much much smaller.

Aww man, the memories! I used to have this exact CB. My friends and I used CBs to communicate when we were out driving around town in the early 90s before cell phones.

I am lazy. I just wait until I have a long list of non-emergency items for my plumber and add it to the list. He drains the tank and refills it. Also cleans the burner.

I'm so happy I (and credit to the others who suggested it too) could help! Enjoy the coat!

Clean them well with saddle soap or something similar. Then use shoe cream to moisturize. A resole, if needed, can be done by any reputable cobbler. If they find the welt is worn out, the cobble could replace prior to resole.

If it makes you feel better to view an approximate number as wrong, then enjoy it. This is the internet after all.

That makes sense actually. it’s one of those things from long ago I remember seeing but haven’t seen one in a long time.

No problem in our house, whatsoever. We are a family of six. Very rare that my wife has to run more than one load of darks/whites/gentle, etc.
Got ours two years ago and have never looked back. Absolutely stellar!

I'm pretty tough on belts. Versa Carry leather gun belts have held up best. Even compared to Amish bull belts. they aren't "guntastic" and you don't need to carry a gun to use them. they just last forever

Shut off water valve. Disconnect water main line and then drain like normal. Also a good idea to flush it out while u have the drain hose connected

I have Ralph Lauren (not Lauren) that are at least 20 years old and going strong. I have had very expensive restoration hardware sheets made in Italy that fell apart after a few years. I now only buy Ralph Lauren and buy vintage ones when I can find them.

Overrated is your single opinion only…..and counts as zero. Hard to argue with the non stop overwhelming support, reviews, and history of Speed Queen. They do not “beat clothes up”. They do however get clothes clean. Something most people don’t understand anymore. If you actually work (as in do something that gets you dirty) these modern washing machines do a very poor job of cleaning your clothes. Especially those without an agitator in the middle. As for power consumption…..I assure you for me personally, that is the dead last thing I’m worried about when it comes to a washing machine. Or any other appliance to be honest. I have electricity….I pay for it. I’m perfectly ok with that.
