Had these boots for maybe 10 years. Re-soled them several times but maybe too late? They are kind of "skewed" towards the sides, see this picture. It's most prominent on the left. The leather is also cracked in some places, although the biggest issue is that they are skewed. Can anything be done about this? They are very uncomfortable currently. Shame, I've loved them.

Edit: I have greased them regularly, at least once/year. Too seldom?

I have the Demeyere Atlantis/Proline and previously had All-Clad D3 and Copper Core. Both companies make exceptional products although the Demeyere Atlantis/Proline is arguably a pinnacle of multi-ply cookware in terms of performance and build quality, IMO. But I don't think you could go wrong with either.

I just opened it. It is very dirty for sure. I looked at the mecanism. It is very simple. There is a small tab touching the toast level slider. I gave it a small bend. I'm letting the bottom part soak in warm water and little dish soap to soften up years of bread bits (and occasional egg roll crunchin after reheating in microwave). Will brush them off and let dry. And repost again tomorrow with the results.

If speaker replacement is because "it sounds different" then it's not the speaker; in fact, it's extremely unlikely to be a speaker issue unless someone poked it with a stick. Most likely it's the filter capacitor(s). Most of the original capacitors might still be fine if the radio has been in regular periodic operation, but the filter capacitors (usually a tall "aluminum can" near the tubes) take a bigger hit. When they go bad (and they will) then the radio will hum or buzz loudly or not work. If it sounds more like static or frying bacon then it's likely a resistor. r/audiorepair or r/VintageRadios can be of assistance.
