This is good to hear as we are planning to buy this (and the corresponding dryer). The price seems great and the simplicity of the machine suggests it will last a long time and be relatively easy to repair. I don't need a touch screen on my washing machine and I see that is one more thing to break.

Another vote for Redland Cotton percale sheets. They aren't are silky soft as a modern sheet set, but they'll last much longer and get softer the more you wash them. I rather like the crispier feel they have anyways.

I had a Staber, have to order it and have it delivered, kinda pricy. It was 12 when we had to change the bearings. My middle child has it now, 15-16 years old. It loads from the top but washes like a front loader. They’re designed to be fixed by the owner, pretty simple knob controls. I’d have brought it with us when we moved but my husband wasn’t as big of a fan as I was and he’s the one that does laundry. One minor complaint is you can’t fit king sized heavy blankets in the basket.

OP my feet are 4E-5E depending on brand. It’s been a long time since I needed steel toes boots for work I have a pair of Red Wings that were never quite wide enough for me at EEE width, and they haven’t held up that great with the sole separating from itself.

Get onto Zappos and use the filters there to narrow down to size and width with the features you need. That’s the easiest way of you can bear buying shoes online.

Otherwise find a wide shoe store and call up and ask if they sell work boots, or call a shop that specializes in work boots and ask if they have wide widths. There is one near me that carries every conceivable brand and size or else can order it for you. Good luck. Having wide feet makes shoe shopping hard.

I buy based on labels as I'm not a pessimist. Fraud is everywhere and in everything, but I still pump 93 in my car and take a pill from a bottle that's says ibuprofen. If you wish to live your life believing 1 lawsuit = give up, then go on with your bad self.

You can get it done by any professional in your area, google is your friend on that front. If you wish to do it yourself you can watch some videos on whetstone sharpening and buy a set of quality whetstones, there are a few electric sharpeners as well that aren't too bad but they do take more material off the blade. The tungsten bladed sharpeners that cut a new edge are fine for cheap knives but will ruin your good knives quickly as they take off way too much material and do so unevenly.

I keep trying to type this message out, but Reddit keeps glitching on me...

I got a newer version, the Philips TAS1505, and I was pretty disappointed with it. Little to no bass at all, and it doesnt get very loud. The JBL Go 3 is only $5 more right now and sounds worlds better. I use the Philips in the shower, and the JBL for when I care more about the sound quality. I will say that I like the way the Philips looks, and the battery life is better. For those without another bluetooth speaker to compare it to, it's probably acceptable.

Pretty much all of those are unverifiable and there have been plenty of lawsuits about fake Egyptian Cotton. All of those labels are unregulated. If you’re buying based of that, you shouldn’t have a lot of confidence
